Senior cross country runner Jessica Richardson was named the Horizon League Scholar Athlete of the Month for October on Thursday.

The Crusaders cross country teams concluded their seasons today in Madison, Wis. at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Adam Bruno and David Rutkowski both set the third-best in Valpo history as they crossed the tape in 32:53.

Jessica Richardson and Liz Bloy garnered First-Team All-League honors with third and fifth placed finishes at the Horizon League Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Both the men and women finished in sixth place.

Valpo's cross country teams travel to the Horizon League Championships this Saturday in Kenosha, Wis.

Jessica Richardson was named the Horizon League Runner of the Week for the third time this season. She broke her PR by 40 seconds at the Bradley Pink Classic this past weekend.
